Miguel Cabreras' bat is on fire!

Miguel Cabrera

I just finished this illustration of Miguel Cabrera of the Detroit Tigers this week. The illustration features his bat on fire after clobbering a ball, which by the time summer roles around I’m sure will be true. Can’t wait to see him take the roof off a dome again this summer.

I thought this would be an appropriate illustration to post today. As of last night, my web site received 100,000 “hits” in one month. As I post this, there’s still 3 full days left in the month. That’s a pretty big mile stone for me. Glad you’re all enjoying my art. Visit my gallery page to see more stuff. (CLICK HERE)

Every now and then after a long day or a long week I’ll take off work early, which is usually about 7pm for me, go in the house and sketch whatever comes to mind. last night while laying on the floor infront of the tube with my little dog I decided to do a sketch of her. She makes me LOL everyday. Always ready to play. Thought I’d share the sketch with you.

Major league baseball can’t come soon enough.

baseball player.. You're Ouuuuuch!

baseball player.. You

It’s going to be one of the coldest weeks of the entire winter and one thing that gets me through it is the fact that spring training is just around the corner. I love baseball, going to the stadium and watching my team whip the visitors just as much as anyone. A cold one and a hot dog and life is good.

This illustration depicts the new season coming at us like a freight train with all of it’s trials and tribulations, excitement and anticipation.

Lets here it for the home team!

Will Smith illustration/caricature

Will Smith, Box offive gold

Will Smith, Box office gold

As is the rest of the world, I am a big WIll Smith fan. I decided to make this my first caricature of the year for several reasons. I’ve wanted to draw him for a long time, but never had the right concept/theme or didn’t feel the preliminary sketches where good enough to finish a piece. This theme came together after learning his films have generated more money than any other actors films, world wide. Wow, that calls for an illustration.

This piece captures his cool confidence, his golden glow and of course the the jacket made out of “Benjamins” kind of says it all.

Hope you enjoy.
