Legends of Rock-N-Roll and R&B week

Saturday, October 24th, 2009

I’ve been busy as can be latley and I have to tell you, the work has been just insanely cool. In the last week I have done work for three music legends. The obvious one if you know me, is Mr. Nugent. Looks like he will be touring again next year and if the tour art I am working on is any indicator, he’s coming out with both guns loaded ready to piss off half the world in true Ted form. The second piece I am working on is a birthday present for a guy that is seen by millions of people five days a week on TV. I wont give a name or details yet but I was commisioned to produce a painting of this guy from one of the most popular tv shows running by some people he works with. I’ll post here after he gets his painting. It’s pretty cool.

The thrird legend is new for me and somone that I am still blown away, and will be for some time to come, that I got to do a piece of stage art for this person. I grew up going to high school dances, cruising and hanging out to this bands music. To think when “the lead singer goes out on his solo tour” the back drop is illustrated by me….I’m still shaking my head. Very cool. WIll post details here.

The forth person is the infamous R Kelly. I was asked to create a Moulin Rouge theme graphic for a plush red curtain for his tour. The results are pretty jaw dropping. Mostly because of the work of the fine people at the production house and what they did. I’m just glad to have been a part of a piece that is so cool. Here is a link so you can see the results.
