It may seem like all I do is concert stages or caricatures but the truth is a great deal of my time is spent designing graphics for corporate america or developing new concepts for businesses.

I Met Bill, the president of Advanced Cabinetry in Auburn Hills, Michigan about a year ago. Bill is one of those guys who is a rare breed. He’s a good, down to earth family guy as well as being a meticulous craftsman and a hard worker. It’s hard to describe the scope of core abilities that Bill and his company bring to the table. To put it in as few words as possible, it wouldn’t be uncommon to see Bill refurbishing the interior of a series of banks, remodeling the kitchens in a 100 unit apartment building or building a display for the Olympic Village. Of course Advanced Cabinetry is “THE” source if your want to remodel the kitchen in your own home or are looking for a source for your new build.

All this said, My job was to come up with the perfect new logo design for his company. If you know Bill, his attention to detail is meticulous, so my work was cut out for me.

My theory was to come up with a design that anyone could relate to. I wanted to create a visual that illustrates the fact that Advanced Cabinetry has staff of craftsmen that build your kitchen in their state of the art shop. This is no run of the mill, retailer and for sure isn’t a “Big Box” outlet.  This place is special. the new logo had to be relatable to anyone from all walks of life and tell many stories at a glance.
