So why did I get up the other day and decide to do a caricature of Paul Stanley? The man gets my respect. For my money, No other “front man” to a major band does it better. When you take into consideration what he does day after day, year after year… all in seven inch boots and leather. It’s an undertaking unmatched. he gets my vote as best entertainer. I find myself with less and less time to create art just for me, so when I do have the time, It has to be about something or someone that deserves it. Paul Stanley, hands down, does.

This illustration was created in Photoshop. From the rough sketch through the final art. No filters of fills etc. I only used a few brushes to do the entire piece. When I am doing an illustration like this I’m not interested in the over the top things Photoshop does. The more natural I can work, the better. I get to think about the art that way
